After years of trading privacy for safety, how do you feel about the loss of MH370?

student: hey government can I have some money to go to university
uk government: sure here you go. you'll have to pay it back but only when you're earning £21,000+ a year, and if you don't pay it off after 30 years we'll just write it off, don't worry about it man
scottish government: nah man just go to uni we ain't gonna charge you
australian government: sure here is your interest free loan. you'll only have to pay it back when you're earning $51,309+ a year and it will come out through your taxes but if you want to pay more out of your own pocket we will give you a discount
us government: no. you gotta pay it yourself. upfront. your parents have to save up from the moment you're born. good luck, fucker.
I finally realized what love is. Love isn’t just two people meeting each other and they’re suddenly happy in a perfect world. Yes, that’s how we always imagine it, but truthfully, it’s more like two people that are broken so badly, and they finally find the person that won’t just stick the pieces back where they were, but rearrange them and remake the entire puzzle and completely change your life, making them an irreversible part of you. Love is working together to fix each other. Love is making the other person happy in new ways. Love is sacrificing your happiness for theirs every now and then. Love is giving the person you love something worth fighting for.

These tiny organisms glow similarly to fireflies and tend to emit light when stressed, such as when waves crash or when they are otherwise agitated. While the phenomenon and its chemical mechanisms have been known for some time, biologists have only recently began to understand the reasons behind it. You can see a few more of Ho’s photographs over on Flickr." - Christopher Jobson
